Why giant hogweed is a problem in Aberbargoed
On Aberbargoed properties, giant hogweed sap causes severe phototoxic burns and long-term light sensitivity, which makes it a genuine safety issue on footpaths, riverbanks and school boundaries. Aberbargoed faces Bargoed across the Rhymney valley, with reclaimed tips and terraced gardens where knotweed is common.
