What Affects the Cost?
Size of Infestation
Measured in square metres. Larger areas need more herbicide and more visits. A 10m² patch costs less than a 100m² infestation.
Proximity to Structures
Knotweed within 3 metres of a building, drain or wall requires more careful treatment and potentially excavation.
Access Difficulty
Sites with restricted access (narrow paths, steep slopes, no vehicle access) increase the time and labour required.
Treatment Method
Herbicide is the most cost-effective. Excavation costs more due to machinery, haulage and landfill disposal fees.
