Roof Moss Removal & Treatment
Moss holds water against your tiles, blocks gutters and forces water under the laps in freezing weather. We scrape it off by hand, treat what is left with biocide and clear the gutters — never with a pressure lance.
Hand Scraping
Moss removed manually from tiles and ridges without disturbing the laps.
Biocide Treatment
Soft-applied biocide kills remaining spores so regrowth takes years, not months.
Gutter Clearance
Gutters, hoppers and downpipes cleared and flow tested after the roof work.
Minor Repairs
Slipped tiles, cracked ridge mortar and loose flashing reported and repaired.
Safe Access
Scaffold tower, MEWP or roof ladders with harness — never freehand.
Solar Panel Cleaning
Panel cleaning at the same visit to restore lost generation efficiency.

Why we never pressure wash a roof
High pressure strips the protective granular surface off concrete tiles, drives water under the laps and can crack or dislodge ridge tiles — damage that often is not visible until the next heavy rain. Hand scraping followed by biocide is slower but leaves the roof covering intact and the warranty unaffected.
What roof moss removal costs
A typical three-bedroom semi is usually £350–£600 for scrape, treatment and gutter clearance. Larger detached properties and complex roofs with dormers or valleys generally run £600–£1,200. Access equipment, if scaffold is required, is itemised separately in the quote.
