Why horsetail is a problem in Treorchy
On Treorchy properties, horsetail roots reach two metres down, shrug off most garden weedkillers and push up through lawns, borders and block paving year after year. Treorchy lies in the upper Rhondda Fawr, where steep terraced streets, retaining walls and reclaimed colliery land are classic ground for knotweed.
