Why stinging nettles is a problem in Blandford Forum
On Blandford Forum properties, stinging nettles colonise nutrient-rich and disturbed ground, making verges, play areas and yard margins unusable within a season. Around the market place and the River Stour, Blandford Forum's mix of gardens, riverbanks, railway corridors and development plots gives invasive and persistent weeds plenty of disturbed ground to colonise, and infestations regularly cross property boundaries across Dorset.
