Why stinging nettles is a problem in Brentwood
On Brentwood properties, stinging nettles colonise nutrient-rich and disturbed ground, making verges, play areas and yard margins unusable within a season. Brentwood sits on the historic London to Colchester turnpike, and knotweed has established along the Wid Valley and old railway embankments, spreading further through the wooded grounds of Weald Country Park.
