Why running bamboo is a problem in Tredegar
On Tredegar properties, running bamboo running rhizome crosses boundaries, lifts patios and can enter cavity walls and drains — increasingly the subject of neighbour disputes. Tredegar's ironworks legacy left vast spoil tips along the Rhymney and Sirhowy, and these disturbed banks remain one of the most persistent knotweed strongholds in the South Wales valleys.
