Why black medick is a problem in Lydney
On Lydney properties, black medick spreading annual clover-like weed that colonises thin, dry lawns and path edges through summer. Around the harbour and the Dean Forest Railway, Lydney's mix of gardens, riverbanks, railway corridors and development plots gives invasive and persistent weeds plenty of disturbed ground to colonise, and infestations regularly cross property boundaries across Gloucestershire.
