Why curly waterweed is a problem in Narberth
On Narberth properties, curly waterweed submerged growth fills ponds, canals and fishing lakes, crowding out native aquatic plants and snagging boats. Around Narberth Castle and the town high street, Narberth's mix of gardens, riverbanks, railway corridors and development plots gives invasive and persistent weeds plenty of disturbed ground to colonise, and infestations regularly cross property boundaries across South Wales.
