Why field horsetail is a problem in Wimborne
On Wimborne properties, field horsetail deep rhizome network infests lawns, borders and paving, and it is toxic to horses on grazing land. Wimborne Minster's location at the confluence of the River Allen and River Stour has left disturbed riverside meadows where knotweed spreads through the town's historic water meadows and old mill sites.
