Why horsetail is a problem in Pudsey
On Pudsey properties, horsetail roots reach two metres down, shrug off most garden weedkillers and push up through lawns, borders and block paving year after year. Pudsey's former textile mills and the Leeds and Bradford Ring Road's disturbed embankments have allowed knotweed to spread into the town's parks, aided by the nearby Aire Valley railway corridor.
