Why montbretia is a problem in Pontycymer
On Pontycymer properties, montbretia corm chains multiply underground and spread along verges, hedgebanks and stream sides, excluding native plants. Pontycymer lies in the Garw valley, where the river, the former railway and terraced gardens let weeds spread down the valley.
