Why stinging nettles is a problem in Dowlais
On Dowlais properties, stinging nettles colonise nutrient-rich and disturbed ground, making verges, play areas and yard margins unusable within a season. Dowlais sits on the northern edge of Merthyr Tydfil, where old ironworks land and tips have carried knotweed for decades.
