Why running bamboo is a problem in Towcester
On Towcester properties, running bamboo running rhizome crosses boundaries, lifts patios and can enter cavity walls and drains — increasingly the subject of neighbour disputes. Towcester sits on the River Tove, and old coaching-inn yards along the historic Watling Street through the town have left disturbed ground where knotweed has spread alongside the river's water meadows.
