Why couch grass is a problem in Conwy
On Conwy properties, couch grass white underground stems run right through borders, lawns and vegetable plots, regrowing from every broken piece. Around Conwy Castle and the town walls, Conwy's mix of gardens, riverbanks, railway corridors and development plots gives invasive and persistent weeds plenty of disturbed ground to colonise, and infestations regularly cross property boundaries across North Wales.
