Why ground elder is a problem in Ammanford
On Ammanford properties, ground elder brittle white rhizome regrows from every fragment, so digging alone usually spreads it further through borders and hedge lines. Ammanford sits on the River Amman at the western edge of the South Wales coalfield, where former colliery tips and disused railway beds keep knotweed active along the Amman and Loughor corridors.
