Why horsetail is a problem in Bedworth
On Bedworth properties, horsetail roots reach two metres down, shrug off most garden weedkillers and push up through lawns, borders and block paving year after year. Bedworth's coal mining heritage has left extensive spoil heaps and disturbed ground where knotweed has become well established, with further colonies spreading along the Coventry Canal and the old railway sidings nearby.
