Why montbretia is a problem in Brynmawr
On Brynmawr properties, montbretia corm chains multiply underground and spread along verges, hedgebanks and stream sides, excluding native plants. Brynmawr is at the head of the valleys, where old industrial land and roadside verges along the A465 spread invasive weeds.
