Designing out weeds rather than spraying them out later
Most weed problems in a garden or commercial landscape are not a maintenance failure, they are a design failure — bare soil left exposed between widely spaced plants, gravel laid without a proper membrane, or paving jointed with a sand mix that germinates seed within a season. Because our core business is weed control, our landscaping designs are drawn up to close off those failure points from day one, which is a different starting point to a landscaper who treats weed resistance as an afterthought.
Where this makes the biggest difference
The effect is most visible on gravel driveways, planted borders and jointed paving, all of which are chronic weed generators when specified generically. A correctly specified membrane, planting density and jointing compound reduces the ongoing spraying or hand-weeding a homeowner or facilities team needs to do to a fraction of what an unspecified installation requires.
