Why running bamboo is a problem in Coleford
On Coleford properties, running bamboo running rhizome crosses boundaries, lifts patios and can enter cavity walls and drains — increasingly the subject of neighbour disputes. Coleford lies amid the Forest of Dean's former coal and iron workings, where disturbed spoil heaps and old tramway routes have given knotweed extensive opportunities to establish across the wooded valleys.
