Why running bamboo is a problem in Spixworth
On Spixworth properties, running bamboo running rhizome crosses boundaries, lifts patios and can enter cavity walls and drains — increasingly the subject of neighbour disputes. Spixworth's rural setting near disturbed field margins and the old Norwich to Cromer railway line has allowed knotweed to spread along hedgerows and drainage ditches feeding into the River Bure catchment.
