Why running bamboo is a problem in Yeovil
On Yeovil properties, running bamboo running rhizome crosses boundaries, lifts patios and can enter cavity walls and drains — increasingly the subject of neighbour disputes. Yeovil's growth around its former glove-making and aviation industries left disturbed brownfield sites, and the River Yeo's banks running through the town continue to provide knotweed with damp, disturbed ground.
