Why running bamboo is a problem in Pontypridd
On Pontypridd properties, running bamboo running rhizome crosses boundaries, lifts patios and can enter cavity walls and drains — increasingly the subject of neighbour disputes. Pontypridd sits at the confluence of the Taff and Rhondda rivers, where former coal-mining spoil and disused railway embankments have provided knotweed with extensive disturbed ground to colonise.
