Why horsetail is a problem in Pontypridd
On Pontypridd properties, horsetail roots reach two metres down, shrug off most garden weedkillers and push up through lawns, borders and block paving year after year. Pontypridd sits at the confluence of the Taff and Rhondda rivers, where former coal-mining spoil and disused railway embankments have provided knotweed with extensive disturbed ground to colonise.
