Why running bamboo is a problem in Stourbridge
On Stourbridge properties, running bamboo running rhizome crosses boundaries, lifts patios and can enter cavity walls and drains — increasingly the subject of neighbour disputes. Stourbridge's glassmaking history left former canal wharves and disused kiln sites along the Stour Valley, where knotweed spreads through the Stourbridge Canal corridor and neighbouring nature reserves.
