Why montbretia is a problem in Blaenavon
On Blaenavon properties, montbretia corm chains multiply underground and spread along verges, hedgebanks and stream sides, excluding native plants. Blaenavon is a World Heritage industrial town, where old ironworks ground, tips and steep streets suit invasive weeds.
