Why stinging nettles is a problem in Leamington Spa
On Leamington Spa properties, stinging nettles colonise nutrient-rich and disturbed ground, making verges, play areas and yard margins unusable within a season. The River Leam runs through the Regency parks of Leamington Spa, and the town's former spa bathhouse sites and canal wharves along the Grand Union Canal have all contributed to persistent knotweed colonies.
