Why water primrose is a problem in Poole
On Poole properties, water primrose forms floating mats over ponds, lakes and slow drains, deoxygenating water and blocking flows. Poole's extensive natural harbour and former clay pit workings around the quayside have left disturbed ground where knotweed spreads along the Holes Bay shoreline and old railway embankments.
