Why running bamboo is a problem in Cardiff
On Cardiff properties, running bamboo running rhizome crosses boundaries, lifts patios and can enter cavity walls and drains — increasingly the subject of neighbour disputes. Cardiff's docklands legacy along the River Taff and Bute Park's disturbed floodplain, plus old railway sidings near Cardiff Central, have given knotweed extensive opportunities to spread throughout the city.
