Why cherry laurel is a problem in Pontardawe
On Pontardawe properties, cherry laurel self-sows through woodland, hedgerows and large gardens, forming deep shade that kills ground flora. Pontardawe sits on the River Tawe north of Swansea, where the riverbank and Swansea Canal are well-known balsam and knotweed corridors.
